Martial Arts is a venue to develop, mold, and train individuals to attain the following lifestyle with these qualities. We built our program around the 7 tenants of the Samuri, known as "Bushido". Through our program we try to teach these 10 principles and as students move through our curriculum and attain rank.
Seeing the outcome of what one wants; goal setting for short. Life goals are manifested by the thoughts we have, by our vision we have for ourselves. Learning to have a vision is key to achieving what you want to attain in life.
Courage is the presence to take action. With change come chaos. Chosing to pursue a vision takes courage to overcome the fears and pressures in life that hold you back.
The burning will and grit to move forward towards your goals and visions with courage. To embrace the discomfort and focus on your goals and ambitions.
When one developes commitment, they realize the end goal is more important that the individual chalanges at hand. The old lang, you eat an elephant one bite at a time, is key here to the idea of commitment. Understanding the sum of the outcome of the individual challenges is greater than the challanges themselves.
As an individual moves towards their vision with desire and commitment, self-esteem develops and confidence grows. When individuals develop this they feel mentally and spiritually enlightened.
The practice of understanding delayed gratification and that the hard work will pay off in the long run. The end result is worth the drive without expecting short term gratification.
With discipline, one begins to develop self control. Creating and understanding that pushing oneself towards their life goals one become more in control of themselves and their environment.
